I think mentors is a really good idea. It would definately stop incoming teachers from making some errors or miscalculations on the amount of time a lesson would take that they would not make or make less of if they had had a mentor. A mentor would also be able to provide valuable tips on how to manage their future classrooms. I am wondering though if there would be enough teachers willing to be mentors for and just how long a new teacher would be with the mentor teacher.
